Ten days. That’s how long this little love has been in the world. I’d say she’s doing a pretty swell job of putting her precious little mark on it so far!
Meeting Sierra was without a doubt the absolute highlight of my week! (Let’s be real, it was the highlight of my month.) Those tiny squishy cheeks, sweetly squeaky newborn cries, and sleepy blue eyes had me completely wrapped around her long and lean little finger. Can you believe how much cuteness can be packed into just six-and-a-half pounds? I mean, seriously.
On top of Sierra being PERFECT, what a treat it was for me to spend all morning with my dear friend Heidi not only chatting together but also getting to watch her fall so naturally into her new role of Mama. You’d think she wrote the book on how to be a first time mom – Heidi is gentle and patient and tender with her girl; all the things I knew she’d be as a mom and more. And Sean, in his new Daddy role, was no less incredible to witness loving on his baby girl. My favorite Daddy-daughter moments were when Sean would softly sing in Sierra’s ear to sooth her as she cried. His voice worked like a charm to settle her whole teensy little body down.
Already it is so apparent how safe and secure Sierra is in the loving arms of her parents. God has truly blessed this child to be theirs, and I am so thrilled for Sean and Heidi to have been equally blessed by her joining their family. Congratulations, dear Lynches, and welcome to the world Sierra Grace! Sean and Heidi, you are already the best parents your girl could ever ask for.
